Hong-Ming Yin (Washington State University) gave a talk on Problems and Challenges in Microwave and Induction Heating
Abstract: In this talk I will first discuss the mathematical models of microwave heating and induction heating in materials. The focus will be on what the role of the electric conductivity in the media is played in the model during the heating process. Then I will give a short survey about the well-posedness for the model problem. Finally, I will discuss open problems and challenges for the nonlinear model.
