The first COLIBRI focus workshop gathered experts at the interface between applied mathematics and biomedical engineering to discuss novel advances in computational methods in medicine and provided a platform for international researchers and entrepreneurs working in this cutting-edge domain to present their advances, brainstorm and connect, thus promoting future progress, and strengthening the local research network in this emerging field.
Key Notes were held by Prof. Luca Gerardo-Giorda (Johannes Kepler University Linz), Prof. Simone Pezzuto (Università della Svizzera italiana), Prof. Gernot Plank (Medical University of Graz), Prof. Thomas Pock (Graz University of Technology), Prof. Joachim Schöberl (Technical University Vienna) and Prof. Edward Vigmond (Liryc Institute Bordeaux). A public lecture was given by Prof. Martin Holler (University of Graz).
