Cognitive Science in the Wild: Working with Data
Otto Lappi, PhD is a Research Fellow of the Academy of Finland, and Senior University Lecturer in Cognitive Science at the University of Helsinki. He is the PI of a research group investigating the cognitive basis of everyday and expert performance. His experimental work combines naturalistic field studies, simulator, VR and laboratory experiments.
Dr. Lappi is a COLIBRI visiting fellow at the Institute of Psychology with Prof. Guilherme Maia De Oliveira Wood. While in Graz he will be working with COLIBRI bridge doctorate Thomas Kanatschnig on analyzing eye tracking data on volleyball experts, and developing an experiment to study eye movement behavior in race driving in the TU Graz driving simulator. He will also give a series of talks entitled "Cognitive Science in the Wild: Working with Data" (dates and place will be announced soon).
