The Professor of “Complexity of Life” will sustainably strengthen the field of excellence in the fields of mathematical biology and mathematics of pattern formation. The research professor will contribute to the teaching of the “Complexity of Life” doctoral programme. Employment requirements include: Austrian or equivalent foreign higher education degree corresponding with the position (doctorate/PhD); Habilitation or equivalent qualification in complexity science or mathematics and Skills in mathematical biology, especially mathematical modelling and pattern formation, for example concerning liver inflammation or wildfires. We also expect gender mainstreaming skills.
