Michael Vogrin

Michael Vogrin finished his PhD in 2023. As a COLIBRI-Bridge-PhD between Biology and Psychology his research led him to study systematic tendencies (biases) that tilt systems predictably into specific directions. In his dissertation, he describes the explanatory power of the concept of bias and connects it to how non-human animals and especially humans exhibit biases and are sensitive to biases in systems.

During his time in the COLIBRI consortium he profited from continuous feedback from professors and peers alike. Michael also partook in the organization and participation of academic and social events, in which COLIBRI fosters interdisciplinary cooperation.
