COLIBRI Focus Workshops
As part of our effort to work more closely together within COLIBRI, the COLIBRI Board of Speakers decided to use COLIBRI money for what we call COLIBRI Focus Workshops.
We are aiming to have about two such workshops a semester on average. Such a workshop should cost not more than about 4000 - 6000 euros. We are thinking of one-day or one and a half day workshops, with 4 to 8 external speakers, who could each spend one or two nights in Graz. COLIBRI pays for their trip and hotel as well as any tea/coffee breaks, lunches and dinners.
We are open to other ideas. Above all it should be something that really makes sense.
Any full COLIBRI member can propose such a focus workshop (by email to Alexander Goritschnig (alexander.goritschnig@uni-graz.at).
A workshop proposal should state:
1) the topic of the workshop
2) a main organizer (at most 2)
3) a short statement why it helps bringing COLIBRI researchers closer together and who would benefit from it - it should declare that it is of interest to at least three full COLIBRI members (and ideally also some of their PhD students) - their names should be in the proposal
4) a rough idea of when it should happen - and perhaps an idea of who you would invite
